If i do decide on springs only then i'm def going to go with the KW's i had on my last Fabia. i loved them, plus i think they made it sit a little lower than the Eibachs.

Update: Got my 3rd Fabia vRS tonight!!! Unfortunately its too dark for pics so you'll have to wait til 2moro!!:P

One thing i noticed on the way home though, while on the Motorway there was a 'droaning' noise coming from the rear of the car?? Cant describe the sound better than that i'm afraid:( Dont know if it was just road noise from the stupid 18's??!! Anyone know what it could be?? Wheel bearing maybe??

Anyway pics 2moro:thumbup:

Ian:)

Glad you got it

That noise could be from the 18s certainly, if it's constant. Would expect a dodgy wheel bearing begin to make itself known at lower speed, from 30 say? I've only ever had one go on me (Ford Focus) and wouldn't describe it as a drone, more of a thumping :)

Hope you get it sorted, either way

Cheers steve:thumbup:

Its def not a thumping noise, def a droaning noise?? It starts really quiet at 30mph say, then gets noisier the faster i go. Thought it could be a wheel bearing:( I got 1yrs warranty with car so hopfully that'll sort it:thumbup:

Ian:)

Yes its definitely those wheels i think you need 17's, wink wink wink :)

Cheers Craig:thumbup:

Going good mate, been none stop working lately so its needing a good clean which is comming this weekend. Noise sounds like either tyre noise or a wheel bearing? Does it sound like a paticular side?? If its a wheel bearing it can usually be heared if you gentle sway the car side to side around 50/60mph. Noise will normally get worse under load ifr its a bearing

I may have them sold already Jase but i'll keep you posted!

The tyres are like elastic bands, 215/35/18:eek:

I really need some 17's:thumbup:

Ian:)

Hopefully it'll just be road noise mate :)

So are you enjoying the furby all over again lol

Loving it already mate:thumbup:

The interior is soooo cool imho:cool::cool: Just hate those f****** wheels!!!! Maybe i'm getting too old, but 18's just arent for me:P

The droaning noise isnt bothering me as i've phoned the Skoda dealer i got the car from already and he said whatever it is will be covered under the Warranty they gave me:thumbup: Taking it in 2moro so it'll be sorted:thumbup:

Just need to get myself a nice set of 17's, get the suspension on and i'll be happy:D

Ian

Cool. did you manage to sort out the LCR splitter?

Go for H&R springs mate or coilovers lol

I hate 18's too, had them on my FR Ibiza and the ride quality was horrid, plus very noisey

The road noise is p!sh!!:thumbdwn:

PM'd a guy about a splitter but no reply yet. I ordered KW springs like i had on the last one but then cancelled as i spoke to Dave on here (cany mind his user name) who knows his stuff. He has a red Fabia at the moment on Apex Springs and shocks, said hes sold loads through his business and never had one complaint:thumbup: My car has done 55k mls so the standard shocks may be getting tired?? Sits kinda cool on them too, i'll try find a pic and post it:)

This is what he said about the Apex kit........

"its an Apex -35mm kit with a slight mod on the rear springs. I have been selling apex stuff for years and always recieved great feeedback from my customers, its probably the best 'budget' stuff there is. I usually fit the bilstein B12 kits on my own cars but after driving a Vrs with the Apex kit on I decided that spending the extra wasnt necessary, fantastic handling and perfect feel with ride quality that is extremely good. Better than the Koni/eibach combination in my opinion. After all, its only a road car."

Sounds good Ian  Where's his shop and is it online? Think i paid about £70 for my H&R's

Cant fault them in any way but would be interested in seeing how the Apex stuff is.

I'll see if i've still got a LCR splitter in the garage mate ;)
