I have the vRS hatch and i have noticed that there is a creeking from the back.

sounds like a bit of rear flexing is going on. is it normal?

you can see the mods I've got in my sig. it has been goin on for ages but dont know why.

also one othere thing to save anothere post, I fitted some Weitec coilovers a bit back:thumbup: and tightened the top mounts as much as i ould while on stands, when i lowered the car the top mounts were very slack and poped up so i just tightened them till they were tight and made it so the threads were even length nearly ".

can they be too tight? what will it do if they are?

cheers billy

Rear arm bushes ????

I think mine are goosed as I get a creak when rolling off kerbs.

Is the creaking coming from the body at the rear.............If so this may be a long shot but I had the same with a Furbie Vrs and after several unsuccessful trips to the dealer I found that the rear Lenses / light cluster was rubbing on the rear bumper. I undid the blots holding the lens and pushed it upwards so it just cleared the bumper then re-tightened them..........Maybe not the problem in your case but I thought I'd tell you anyway.........Cheers Andy

Iv'e had / still got this creaking noise. A Skoda dealer said it was coming from the front and virtually replaced all the front suspension. Then they said it was the rear bushes.

Then they spoke to their "Tech" guy who said it was the rear brake calipers it apparently is a known problem!! But not a safety problem!

It seems to happen when you get in or out of the car.

The way to see if that is the problem is to get on level ground and release the handbrake. Then try getting in and out of the car if the noise is not there then that was the problem! I hope!!!

have you tried putting the rear seats down i had a squeak coming from the drivers side rear and it was the rear seat fixing clasp

Is you ARB rubbing on anything?

cheers guys

arb not rubbing.

not the rear lights as there is a space between them and the bumper on the octy.

it sounds like the seats and its only when going on uneven roads and comin off curbs, it is def the seats and in that area.

is there a cure?

I have the same problem but mine sounds the same as old blue. It is when you put the handbrake on and get out of the car it happens. If you pull the handbrake up firmly (more so than you normally would) then it doesn't seem to do it I found

lol you are on about anothere noise that i get too but i not bothered as it is just the break slipplin

it sounds like the rear of the car is twisting and the seats ar nockin

If it's the seats, then with the seats down look for the rubber "buttion" at the top corner.

It actually screws in and out so give it a few turns and see if that tightens up the seats when you put them back up.

You need to adjust it a few turns at a time because if you wind it out too far, the seat catches don't engage.

Another thought - door rubbers. I'm sure I remember someone mentioning this and some miracle silicone spray that they used to stop them squeeking.

cheers ill try it

my old fiat had a similiar problem which was the rear fold down seat catch just creaking a tiny bit. i think every brava/o on the forum had a small bit of electrical tape round the catch!
