The interior lights on my car are driving me nuts. When I open the tailgate they come on as it opens but go out when it's about halfway up and stay out. The only way I have found to keep them on is to hold the switch on the lock mechanism. Not very practical when getting stuff out the back in the dark!! Any advice please?

Try doing a continuity test on the tailgate wiring.

Do the central locking, HRW, and rear wiper all work properly?

Hi, Yes everything else on there works perfectly. Just these lights that's the mystery.
