Superb service costs

Featured Replies

I just asked three seperate garages to quote me for a package of work on my new Superb (yet to be picked up). All three were Skoda 'approved' service agents. The work is; long life service, rear brake pads and cambelt/tensioner change. Results:

Simpsons Skoda Preston - service £276, brakes £78 cambelt £343, brake fluid change £47 - total £744

David Ian Skoda Morecambe - service £220, brakes £79, cambelt £325 total £624

Hadwins Volkswagen service - service £180, brakes £73, cambelt £315 total £568

How can there be so much variation and why is the Volkswagen garage the cheapest??? £180 difference between cheapest and dearest!! All include VAT, parts and labour.

I've moved this to the Superb II forum :) If it needs moving back let me know.

Its amazing how much prices differ isn't it - shopping around is certainly worthwhile.

Tom, Think it is a mk1 Superb ;)
