Rear electric window and fault code

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a problem with my rear n/s electric window on my Fabia Y reg Elegance. I went to my car yesterday and the rear n/s window was slightly open, being in a rush I pushed it up with my hand, drove away and tested the switch whilst driving. Now, although the motor whirs away the window only goes up and down slightly (about 1/4 inch). I tested with a code reader and got the following:-

01135 - 164

sporadic open circuit

Would this be my problem? or is it completely unrelated?

Hope someone can help.

Ok can anyone throw any light on the window problem.

The motor is definitely turning away when the switches are pressed but the window just shifts slightly. Anyone had the same problem? if so how did you fix it or, if you had it fixed, how much did it cost?

many thanks

I had this happen. Was just the plastic pin that holds the glass onto the mechanism. Get the door apart and check. The pin part was very cheap!

Well, haynes manual doesn't show the workings of the windows so, does anyone have any pics that I could have a look at? just to see what I'm gonna be looking for before I take the door card off :)
