Superb Edition 100 - Bought one yesterday

Featured Replies

Hi finally my search is over. I'm now a proud owner of a 2005 55 plate (October 05) Superb Elegance Edition 100. This is the model that was released to celebrate 100 years of Skoda and comes with a few extras then the Elegance standard model. It has leather, cruise control, sat nav, alloys, sunroof etc etc.

It has 54676 on the clock, FSSH, and just put it through its first MOT today - went through without any problems. Before you ask I only paid £5725 plus the buyer’s fee of £291 from BCA auction, in Peterborough.

Wanted to know:

· I'm sure the next service will be due soon, what normally is changed at the next service?

· Which oil is best to use?

· Is it best to take it to Skoda or an independent?

· The sat nav disc was missing; I'll have to make enquiries. But is the disk available from Skoda and if so, any ideas how much?

· Finally, did not come with spare key. I'm going to get in touch with previous owner, are they easily available.

Many thanks :)

Hi, I can help with a couple of answers...

-Independant, (Jabbasport in Peterborough to name one)

-Sat Nav disc can be sourced from a dealer, usually around £100 though, so try ebay!

-Spare Key, easy to sort (ebay), but costly to get programmed to the car.

That is a good price for your Edition 100, I am over paying for my 55 plate 1.9TDI Comfort at £5600 (61K) I am tempted to pull out.

It should be on variable service so what does the computer say?

It might not be on variable servicing. Mine isn't, it is set to every 10k.

I'll check in the morning. I just figured out it has a information menu amongst other things.

Sounds nice.

Careful sourcing keys from ebay, if its the same as the Octy many on ebay are "used" can cannot be re-programmed to another car. There are a few posts on this site with people having problems. Cheapest quote I had recently (for an Octy II) was £160.

PS Great purchase, piano wood dash looks real class.

good job-just paid 5250 for the 55 december car in woking on autotrader.com - 1.9tdi elegance. sat nav cd rom also missing - blaupunkt - try eBay: Neue und gebrauchte Elektronikartikel, Autos, Kleidung, Sammlerstücke, Sportartikel und mehr ? alles zu günstigen Preisen and go for uk with mrwr (west europe main roads for free) at 110euros for 2008 edition. just bought mine this evening - though the german edition as i live here. gorgeous first impressions with mine - the auto box with 79000 and cambelt done. my spare key is broken - going to the dealer for that. nightmare finding bi-xenons for lhd (as british forces personnel have to now flat beam is no longer acceptable ) 1000 euros best quote as yet - back to german ebay.

happy driving! wish i had gone skoda years ago!
