not 100% but pretty sure it would throw up a light on the dash, as pretty much everything and anything seems to on VAG engines

If you leave the n75 plugged in to the electrics and provided the boost controller worked within the n75 parameters i think it should be ok, or you could get the n75 mapped out completely if its possible.

Why do you want a boost controller though?
