octavia fuel filter change

Featured Replies

hi, can anyone help me. i need to change the fuel filter on my 2002 octavia 1.8 turbo ( petrol ) lauren klement. how do i get the pipes off the filter ? done 100,000 miles now with not a single problem. now on my 3rd octavia, 6th skoda ( none of them ever let me down ). sold last one for a 2000 jaguar xj6 3.2 which was a nice car but fuel econamy was crap. only the octavia can compeate in luxury budget motoring.

With extreme caution.

If its in the same place as the Octy vRS, which is under the car, roughly between the two nearside doors, for if you break the pipe getting the clip off, then its about £45 plus labour to fit new pipes.

fuel filter is under car next to tank on drivers side (offside). It is held in place with a jubilee clip and the pipe connectors have a little slide/push bit which you need to push in then with that held in slide the pipe off. Don't be rough or you will break them but they do come off prety easy. Be careful you dont get fuel in your eyes as the system may still be under pressure. When reconnecting make sure you hear the connectors CLICK into place or they will pop off when you start up. Hope this helps
