£50 auto dimming rear view mirror too I hope? I wouldn't buy one second hand without it.

Oh god! Don't make the mistake I did when I ordered our demo. You might as well order the auto-dimming rear view mirror for the sake of £50 trust me, you'll get it back come resale time.

The auto dimming mirror should always have been standard kit on the elegance, but at £50 every car should have them. They absolutely are worth it.

I'm sure they are worth it (I think I ordered one as I had a bit of "change" on my allowance), but not having one surely wouldn't come up against other factors in buying a used, surely? (state and condition, mileage...!)

would for me. i would not buy a superb without one unless i was backed into a corner and could not find a similar car with the auto-dim.

I've ordered an 1.8 DSG Elegance last Sunday but haven't heard when it will be delivered yet :-(

I got the Auto Dimming Mirror, have it on my Octavia L&K and have noticed I no longer get eye strain driving at night, so well worth the extra £50, oh I got the Variable Boot as well as I have it on my Octavia and find it very useful.

They work fine in Eurocabs etc, for a saloon it's a waste of time, a £500 waste of time.

Don't know what all the fuss is about the auto dimming mirror personally, my MK1 comfort one has it, I think it was standard back then, but I used to like flipping the angle down during the day on previous cars which you can't do with the auto dimming one...

Cant imagine it would hurt resale value either tbh.

I've got the Auto-dim on my Octy, and honestly wish I didn't. Its not sensitive enough, and not dark enough if it does activate.

Much easier to flick a switch on a manual mirror...

Looks like your dads hitting the same delays as mine.

I have now seen two on the road so thats making the wait more painful.

I do remember seeing a post somewhere saying that manufacturing was going to stop for two weeks in January so that may explain it. Might be due to the launch of the new Octavia as well.

i cnat really notice the autodim on the door mirrors. I have got the feature and i assume its working but its no where near as dark as the rear view mirror (i dont mind as i am not keen when the door mirrors go too dark as its hard to pick out what lane and approaching car is on the motorway)
