Help needed with no Dashboard lighting on a Polo

Featured Replies

Guys,

You may be able to help me out, as its probably the same setup as the Fabia. My cousins has a 2000 VW Polo with the following problem.

Dashboard (instrument) lighting not working which includes lighting for speedo, radio, electric window & electric mirror switches. Parking lights, headlights and all other equipment working correctly. Symbol in manual for instrument lighting not on fuse card. Checked all fuses which were ok.

Is there a seperate fuse for this ?

Any idea where ?

Or could it be the switch mechanism for the main light not activating the instrumentation light.

Any help appreciated.

Had something similar (well, the same) on the Octy, and it was a blown fuse. It's on the same circuit as the glovebox light if that helps, as I recall it wasn't particularly well labelled in the fusebox diagram.

Rob.
