16" Spider Alloys On A Fabia.

Featured Replies

I've just changed my black OEM Fabia alloys for some silver 16" Spiders....

But i dont think i like. :thumbdwn: :(

Too late to back down on the deal too...as my old wheels are destined for somewhere else.

Cant posst pics till after the weekend...

Am slightly gutted.

:(

Its a shame you dont like them.

I'll need to have a swatch at some point.

Looking forward to seeing the pictures.

Are they the same width as the standards?

What profile tyres they running?

What colour is your car ?

HIs car is black.

Is it the wheels or the colour that you're not sure on? I always think the 17 Spiders are too thin for the Fabia. But the 16's look sweet. Have wanted a set of white ones on mine since I got the car. Can imagine going from some black OEM to silver/bright spiders makes then look very bandy and 'open'?

Johnny at worst mate if you dont like the wheels then dont get em recoated etc cos then your just gunna waste money.

Leave them on for a little while and have a think about what colour youd fancy etc and if you still dont like em buy your sen some more wheels (That you like) and flog the spiders :) nothing losted nothing gained that way mate ;)

Are you sure? The last time i saw it it was a dark brown matt fading to light brown semi gloss as you neared the roof, Which admittedly was black:rofl:

Really?

There is a member from Hereford way who had 16"spiders on his car, I saw them when I went to pick up his old wheels. His car was also lowered on Eibachs.

I asked him if they were 17s and he surprised me when he said they were 16s.

They looked really good.

Johnny

I will tell you when I see it in the flesh today mate, at first glance I did think they looked a bit small compared to the vRS alloys.

Davy

Damn, knew I should have snapped those wheels up!

Thats what Mike said when he seen it too..

As it is a drastic difference from the black wheels.

Try a photoshop to see what these beasts would look like black then

- I have a feeling that they may look odd as black so try that grey ish colour.

(I would do it for you - However don't have PS on my laptop). Sorry.

Cheers Rob.

I actually bought Dark paint etc for them, but didn't have the time to do it so i took it all back.

I think i'll keep them silver though, otherwise you'd lose the facy that they are spiders.

One thing i have to say is...it makes the 312's look Huuuuge :D

I like those wheel mate  Think the wife does too.........might try to talk her into swapping my wheels with you ;) (i can only do but try :) lol)

Ive never had a set of 16" on that you can see through to get the big factor of the brakes.

I think the wheels look good.

lol tempted old boy? :)

I like those wheels on it :)

I've always liked them and nearly picked up a set recently. But then I saw the offset was 43 and the rears particularly looked a little too set into the arches. This was the same problem I had when I ran the BBS Montreals I had for a while, which had this same offset. It's a common setup for the Golf Mk4 (where my Montreals came from).

My current wheels are a 38, which is the same as the OEM wheel, so the stance is better. Could that be what you're seeing, that you don't like?

Steve

Thats a thought... are you running your spacers on them Johnny?

I can rule that out straight away, as i'm on 20mm spacers at the rear, and 15mm's up front.

Think he is mate, 15mm fronts and 20mm on the backs.

Need to get a day sorted for our "transaction" ;) lol
