A good friend of mine has just bought an Insignia as a replacement for his Vectra taxi and i would describe the car as dull. His Vectra was better looking but he says the Insignia is a far better drive. As far as the new superb is concerned, i've no doubt it is a cracking car and my local Skoda technician says its a vast improvement on the old Superb, but i have to say i think it is horrendously ugly. Looked good in the showroom, but see it on the road and oh my god. The C5 on the other hand is a great looking car. Wouldn't have one in a million years but it is smart. Also, someone mentioned the Rover SD1 won car of the year in 1976 and it was a dog V8 aside. Thing is, The Rover SD1 was poorly built but probably the best looking saloon ever made. If a manufacturer was to come up with that design now, it would make the competition look awful.

Reminds me of the 5 series from the front, the rear three quarters like a Daimler limo and the back end a Megane saloon, i dont think its a pretty car , but you cant have it all , the complete package is what i look for

Did they even drive the Superb? How the hell could they possibly believe the Shitroen C5 is a better all round car than the Superb?

They must be insane.

I had one as a hire car in Inverness a couple of weeks ago, and to be honest, I thought it was bloody fantastic, it drove well, handled well for a bus and rode well, it even looked quite nice, quiet diesel engine and was well appointed. If I was in the market for something like this, given the huge discounts available on Citroens, it would be on my list.
