pd oil

Featured Replies

Have two Skoda PD diesel vehicles(roomster 1.9 and fabia mk1 1.4 ),anybody used AC Delco oil?(It is to 505-01 spec and 5-40W only £20 for 5litres).

Sounds like a good price and it's the right spec., give it a try.

I Have AC Delco in mine (Fabia VRS 1.9 TDI) and it all "seems" fine "Touch Wood".

if it meets the spec then it has to be ok

As already said if it meets the API spec it will be fine. When you buy really expensive oil, you tend to be paying for the name. I've used Comma oil for years, and never had a problem, with either their modern fully synthetic, or their classic 20/50 car oil.

Thats a good price, well worth a go with it being the right spec.

I normally use Millers PD oil as i could get 5 litres for £22 up untill recently, but my last two PD engines have ran fine on it so i won't change brand as i've found an oil that i know works.

AC Delco make the "branded" oil for Opel (Vauxhall) and a lot of GM brands for example. I was driving my old GSi with it and was happy. I think it should be totally fine. :)

Thank you for that guys,it seemed so cheap only £8.49 a litre, and have never economised on oil but it met the spec and is a good buy at £20 for 5 litres.:)

Mine is in for a service next week, what oil do Skoda use then, is it Shell or Castrol?

Just wondered as my 'ol man has a Focus and the oil from Ford seems to be 'own brand' even though somebody else makes it?

Depends on whether its longlife or fixed intervel servicing.

Fixed, I think as it's a Fabia?

Opie Oils <-- link speced for a fabia vRS

This is who I use for my oils
