Hi

Have you thought of the AP Coilovers?

These are cracking quality and quite cheap too , so best of both worlds

£276.59 + VAT for the set

I have been looking at the AP coilovers - are they part of the Vmaxx/Gmax/Jamex family?

Ap's are £325 delivered to your door, cheap for coilovers and then you can say ive got coilovers!

No

The quality of these is far better

Sarah

coilies - ive just had some fitted and they are great! If you buy springs you'll most probably regret it and wish you went for coilovers after a few months. As you'll want it just that little bit lower :). I want it lower than what mine is at the moment but cant because of the devil bumps everywhere.

Sarah do you know who makes the AP coilovers? What company? Who supplies then to you?

PM me if you like. The reason I ask is that I have been looking at sub-£400 coilovers for months, however it is a bit of minefield with some of spurious quality, and a huge amount of re-branding.

Thanks

Joel

Coilovers for me aswell.

This is the first set ive had fitted to any of my cars.

And im never going to look back.

Im currently running the AP set up with no complaints at all.

If you want to change wheels, you can simply re-adjust the ride height to suite.

I rang Richard at Venom when they first got the AP's in and he told me the AP's are made by KW, they are their budget brand but still good quality with galvanized threads etc, Weitecs have kind of become KW's medium range set, with KW's themselves being the top of the range set.

HTH

Hi all,

I've been looking at the AP coilovers, almost seems to good to be true!!

Has anyone on here got any photo's of there Fabia vrs with these fitted please.

Cheers.......Martin.

Hello all

Can anyone have a go at describing how the car rides with AP coilovers? Is it back breaking on B roads, or is the ride comfort still there without the body roll? Its just the body roll that lets the fabia vrs down i think.

Thanks...Dave

Hi

The AP`s was made by AP

But then a well known and excellent quality company came along and took over the brand ;)

Have a look in my build up thread.

djdesigntech - The ride on these are fine. Not back breaking at all.

You feel it more rough at low speeds i think.Even though it isnt too bad.It is quite nice and smooth. Alot depends what whells/tyres you will be running. :)

How much do Awesome charge for fitting AP coilovers please?

Hi

Fitting on these is £202.50 + VAT , that includes the fitting , setting up and the geo afterwards

I hope that helps?

pah fit em yourself, its half the fun:D

sorry for getting involved sarah:O

oh and coilovers are the nuts, especially those made by a certain kw,nothing but good reports on them and there budget varients:thumbup:

Fitting is good fun even more so in the winter. took me 5 hours.

I've got KW springs which has lowered the car by 30mm. With Jabbasport's ARB & SEAT solid wishbones the suspension is stiff but not uncomfortable & you don't have to be worried about speed bumps.

30mm is'nt low enough for me though.

tis low enough?

That's more than 30mm.

That's more than 30mm.
correct,i have no idea how much its lowered:D

Nice! :thumbup::rofl:

Doubt that'd get on or off the ferry to where I live though! :( That's what limits my lowering ambitions...

On a more relevant note, I'm running 30mm PI springs on the standard dampers...don't do it! Harsh, bouncy, not good at all.

However, I have a set of Eibachs and Koni FSD's on their way so I'll let you know how I get on with them if you want. Quite pricey though, and only a 25mm drop.
