do mk 5 golf alloys fit the octavia 1 vrs they are marked 7.5j x 18 h2 et51 any help plz ?

Genuine one's won't, as they will be 5x112, not the required 5x100

As Babs said , VW Mk4 Golf wheels will fit a Mk1 octavia and Mk5 Golf wheels will fit a Mk2 Octy.

If you want a Mk5 design then you'd need to look at replicas

Seen mk5 gti wheels on a mk4 golf so possibly but don't know how well they fit, ie offsets, rubbing etc

They'll be copies then as said above.

You could always get some adapters, but you need to make sure the offsets will work taking into accound the width of the adapters.

In which case they may not be copies then

Saw a silver Octy RS estate in Leics this evening that appeared to be running on those polished 20 spoke 18" or 19" rims popular with MK4's and A3s / TTs - that looked very nice indeed.

Found some of those replicas mentioned earlier - VW Style VW Golf GTI Style Alloy Wheels in Silver (18")

Not sure if those would work on an Octy though - might look a bit too bottom heavy.

As said before you need 5X100 (Octavia MK1) instead of 5X112 (Golf MK5).

If i was you i wouldn't be messing up with the offset, as it'll f**k up your handling.
