Slowly driving me nuts. Its the only real rattle on the car so far. 06 Fabia Vrs

Is it easy to access the instument internals ?, it could just be a bit of loos

plastic or connector that is loose.

Am worried that might mean major strip down maybe even the steering wheel has to be removed..

Has anyone accessed the bits behind the instrument pod ??

Using the steering wheel adjuster, release the lever and push the steering wheel to it's lowest position, and pull to full rake, lock it in this position. Prise off the steering wheel to dash top cover, there are two screws underneath. Take these out and the instrument panel can be pulled forward.

However the rattle/squeak might be coming from the dash to bulkhead fixing. It's a pig to get to after taking out the centre air vent.

I could always fill in the space with that expanding foam.

That should keep it all quite.
