Does your car sound like a loud electric?

Featured Replies

mine does, i checked under the hood to see what the problem was, it wasnt coming from inside the engine, so i took a piece of house and i started to poke it everywhere and hear through it...

is on the belt, the belt slider at the top, the puley that acts as a tensioner and the belt itself...

if you tighend the belt, the engine sounds diferent, so replace belt, you could try a lightly smaller one to compensate for thensioner spring decay,

remove the puley that acts as a tensioner, if its not too bad you can boil axel grease and dip it there to re-grease it or replace, the bearing is not that expensive and will give you pease of mind the top one has to be replace too completely since is plastic and the bearing canot be removed to replace
