Hello folks,

feels great to became a Skoda owner (from Friday, 5 days ago) as well as the member of this fine fellowship.

I've being lurking here since this car appeared on the market and I decided to get one. There is a Croatian Skoda forum at skodacroatia.com - Home but I feel here I can find a tremendous knowledge base, expecialy abour VRS variety.

I am a high end audio designer that drifted towards computers (svc. mngr. for Apple for many years) and eventually started bussiness 12 years ago as R/C models distributor.

With 34 years driving experience I've advanced from 125HP to 210HP in the last 20 so Octavia RS TDI DSG seemed to be just the right measure for the old f**t that still likes to drive fast but became to lazy (well, sometimes at least) to shift gears and is definitely to avaricious to pay for gasoline driven pleasure.

My Octavia (see it here with yours truly: Skoda Octavia Combi RS TDI CR DSG photo - Miljenko Devcic photos at pbase.com ) is 4 months old, served with importer as the test car. It was not a good feeling knowing that some half educated blokes are torturing my future car, but that was the price of paying less at the end.

I have already gained a lot reading this forum and expect to gain some more in the future. I hope I can give something in return and will do my best to participate in a most efficient way.
