Dog Cage required - MK1 Octavia Hatch

Featured Replies

Hello

Does anyone know if you can get a cage or barrier to go behind the head rests to keep the dog in the boot?

I dont really want a seperate cage, just someway of keeping the dog in the boot and not being able to get into the rest of the car when driving.

I have seen them for other cars but not for our Octavia and think its a good idea :)

I've only seen them for the estate.

There's not much room to get through anyway. Maybe you could fully extend all the rear headrests up to the roof lining to act as a fence? Not tried this myself , but it might do.

I just put a blanket over the rear bench for my dog.

Yes skoda do one I have one in my garage ,and it clamps behind the rear seats and uses the metal rings that the rear seat clips to, to locate it.

It is a 1 inch metal grille behind the seat and above the seats three horizontal bars .

i got a universal one from halfords it fits perfectly cost me about £15 in fact i dont use mine so if your in the north yorkshire area you can have it

Doh... i live in Kent. Will pop along to Halfords and see what they have in stock.

Yeah i tried that. Little buggar got past and landed on my lap while driving along. Was very funny :)

Haha yeah I had that problem when he was a puppy! Was cute, but I was mega paranoid about him slipping under my feet! I guess that's why you want the fence....

Managed to restrain him in the passenger footwell before he got too big. Now he fills the rear bench nicely!

I feel like his personal driver sometimes! Here he is in his natural state! Lazy git.
