Right, I have been trying to identify my turbo. I was told when I bought the car it was a stage 2 turbo dynamics jobbie but im not so sure. Is there a way of finding out through serial numbers what stage turbo it is as I want to be 100% on the state of the turbo before getting it remapped.

As I had already removed the inlet manifold etc for cleaning I thought id whip the turbo off to to have a good look at it.

Its a Garraet GT1749VB, has a Honeywell sticker with 139 on it and there is a hand-etched number-A23024JH

I cant find anything thats related to Turbo Dynamics on the turbo:worried:

I'd ask turbo Dynamics.

Ive just emailed them, just wondered if anyone had any info though.

Well, I'm fairly sure the VB bit means the turbo originally came off a golf PD150 - so you can at least be confident it is not the stock turbo. Beyond that? Speak to TD.
