Replace wooden centre console trim?

Featured Replies

Spotted this carbon weave looking centre console trim, that would replace the ugly wood bits.

this is for a 2002 octavia TDi L&K with tan interior, and wood bits.

aside the mad price of £50 for each item

would it look any good? i would probably need to change the wooden trim bits on the doors too, to make it look reasonable!

part numbers:

412/06 Centre Console

413/06 Door Trim finishers

Milotec Auto-Extras GmbH - Skoda Tuning und Zubehör - Interieur equipment

Scroll down to near the bottom :)

does anyone know anybody who might be able to make them? :D

its basicly the main large square bit around the radio, then the ash tray cover, then the gear lever surround.

and then the 2 door trim bits (oh i probably need 4 in total, 2 for the rear doors too).

attached is a pic of the interior of the car :)

i have found a single post on here mentioning a black marble trim in some L&Ks.

is this correct? as that would presumably be simple to get replacements for and would pretty nice i think!

edit:

the milotec ones for the dash, are only 2 part (i emailed them and confirmed), so you get the main console and ashtray only (ie. no gear lever surround as pictured)! which seems bit odd / daft to me! Though they are both ABS plastic which you stick on, and not vinyl stickers.

the rds website seems to have it as a 3 part kit though for a similar price. though i dont know if they are plastic.

So quality should be decent. Im far more interested in the black marble trim though, so hopefully skoda will get back to me soon on them!

I think the post-2003 ones with the black interior option may have the black marble option which in my opinion would look better, but then I like wood and leather so don't ask me.

I agree, it's probably easier to get from the dealers/TPS if you can get a part number on it and a guaranteed fit. Having said that, unless you try it you won't know, the carbon one may be very well made.

yeah gonna forget carbon, but the black granite option is good!

milotec wont do any other designs sadly!

its not easy to find the trims though. the thread i found the pics in simonJ said the skoda price was £130

http://briskoda.net/octavia-i/octavia-l-k-dash/68831/

so will have to keep on looking, but not sure where, skospares, ebay etc?

will let you know if/when i replace the wood ones greg ;):)

Interestingly. I bought the three plastic-wood centre console bits from a scrappy to replace the blackish granite-style plastic in my 2004 L&K, 'cos I found the black granite effect cold and uninviting.

Are you anywhere near Manchester?

WHATEVER you do dont order it, the milotec trim around the stereo etc is for left hand drive vehicles only, and it does not fit, i know first hand from ordering one from r-s-d a while back

Sangrail you have PM :)

I think the kit mentioned above is just a sticker..

you could always get your own bits covered in REAL carbon fabric... completely different to the sticker option, and looks stunning with real depth to it... I currently do this for friends and stuff, and also for people on a couple of forums I'm on... I can post pics of my work if anyone is interested...

I am currently trying to purchase a set of interior trim so I can make some, am happy to let someone off here assess my work and report back to whoever is interested...

all the best..

Tony

p.s. mods/admin, if anyone is interested in my work, and there would be a charge for me selling my services on here, please let me know, I would be happy to pay like everyone else..

I have a 2004 1.8 L&K. Bought it in the summer and the day after chipped it - very nice machine.

I have the black interior and think that the granite would look better.

Did anyone find the Skoda part numbers?

Also can anyone carify how to get the door trim bits off - I read that they were just gued on and then someone else mentioned that they were clipped and the door cards would have to come off.

BTW I also have dealt with Simpsons in Colne and found them to be very helpful.

Check this web page. They have a nice carbon fiber film made by 3M

They have some videos on how to apply it and also they have like 7 colors to choose.
