Door switch / sensor problem

Featured Replies

Hi, not sure whats it's correct name is, but I assume that there is a switch or sensor that detects when the door is open & beeps when you leave the lights on.....it appears to be a common fault, and mine has gone. Rang Skoda and it's a whopping £150 to change. Does anyone have any experience of doing a DIY job? It isn't in the Hayes Manual, so not too sure how complicated it is.

Any experiences would be welcome.

Section 12.28 Diagram 8 in Haynes Manual. Module 80 drivers door lock unit.

Worth checking connectors between that module and Module 10 (Control Unit). Sometimes you get water corrosion in the plugs, or dry solder joints in the units.
