Mind you, did look like a decent car, glad it's gone to an enthusiast.

Bet you're glad I didn't bid on it now. :P

I got her number and will find out if its just the clutch cable thats gone.

Cause then I can fit mine and drive it.

If its the whole clutch then back to the hunt.

Once I get all the info I'll tell you if I'm glad you didnt bid but it looks very tidy :D

IIRC the ad. said it was the clutch cable, hopefully that is all it is.

From what I've been messaged it sounds like it is just the clutch cable.

Will be able to view it properly tomorrow.

oh dear captain s, have you still got the car or have you dumped it??

if you weren't so bloody far away from here i'd come round and fix it for you.. also bear in mind that felicia's can be had dirt cheap on ebay, even in good working condition, mine was only £275 with mot and 3 months tax

How was the Favorit?

1994 SKODA FAVORIT LXIE PLUS RED-CAR SOLD-DO NOT BID on eBay, also, Skoda, Cars, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 12-Dec-08 14:44:01 GMT) is this the one that's referred to here? Did you buy it Captain Sisko? :)

If Felicia is destined for scrap and steering rack is manual that would fit the Favorit, and is relatively easy to remove (apart from track rod ends) although at 48k miles the one on that should be fine for many miles. Coolant bottle is the same. Washer bottle and motors probably are too. Brake callipers should be the same. Wheels same fit. Seats should fit easily (rear ones just unhinge), definitely worth keeping if yours was a higher spec felicia. Tailgate gas struts are probably the same. Suspension should fit and as I believe it wasn't long ago you had them done they'd be worth keeping :) Not sure if I missed anything off that's worth keeping and common between the two models.

Oh yeah the front strut brace would be easy to fit to the Favorit :)

 I thought he won it on ebay.

Not quite won it on ebay.

No-one bid on it, it was on our way back from Rugby.

looked at it, bought it and drove it home.

Whats a front strut brace?

Nice one mate :)

A strut brace will keep your underpants from falling down (I think ) :)

Good on yer mate, looks like it's all coming together for you :)

In the felicia it's the thing in the engine bay that's bolted to the suspension struts with 4 nuts, and usually needs to be removed to get to the battery. Not sure all models were fitted with them though.

That big black bar that goes from one end of the engine to the other?

@ Teflon I still have the Felicia sat on my drive, wanna scavenge before it goes.

That's it :) Want to get hold of one for my car if I can find one :)

It should go across the strut top mounts

It just means it has been looked after (or raced).....

That's the trouble, you rack your brains for ages. Then after 2 minutes of doing a job you realise your missing something important :D (At least I do).

i need a subframe, but the facelift model has a different one
