Glow plug light flashing

Featured Replies

Just wondered if anyone had come across this one, had my 2-year-old Fabia TDI for 4 weeks now and while out on a run to Anglesey at the weekend my glow plug light started flashing. The car was running fine so I rang my dealership up, they informed me that I had either a brake light out or the brake light switch was faulty!!!!

Turned out it was my switch that wasn't working so I needed to find a Skoda dealership near Chester. After going to the area were my local dealership thought there was a one I couldn't find it, called into a VW garage to ask them were it was they said there wasn't one :( anyway they asked us what the problem was, and after explaining they told me to take the car round to the back into the workshop, 5 mins later, new switch fitted with a modified one - and then the damage.....................

Bummer about the damage,

Brake light switch is very common, believe the new ones are a funky purple colour now. Hopefully this one will sort it, however it is worth noting they have changed how they are fitted now and if you fit a new one using the old fitting method it will break which is what happens usually.

but fair play to the garage for fitting one for you, bargain!
