My airbag light has been on for a while from when my battery went flat, will this affect the airbag in a way lets say if i had an accident would it still go off?

Probably not but incase there is an underlying problem then it is advisable to get it reset.

I had the same once when disconnecting the battery.

how much does skoda charge to get it reset then?

They will probably look to charge you for a diagnostics scan, i think they take a half hours labour for it.

Best bet is to have a look on the VAG-COM members map and see if someone close to you has vag com and willing to sort your code.

Most people do it in return for joining freedom, not bad £12 spent and almost certainly cheaper than skoda :P
