Windscreen woes and washerjet question

Am gutted! got out the house this morning to go to work and noticed a big crack in my windscreen running from the top down, bang in the middle of the screen. it runs down about 10 inches then turns at 90degrees to the nearside for about 6 inches. never got a chance to call Autoglass today as I was stuck in work, so got to do it first thing in the morning :o

Funny thing was there was no chips or indication that the screen was damaged, but I did notice that right at the top of the crack there was a circular chip/indent that, once the ice had thawed, had chips of glass in it. Oh well, stung for the windscreen excess and two new tyres, and some daft old bird let her big chocolate lab jump up on my drivers door chipping the paint and leaveing a big claw mark down the door as well. Great start to owning a Fabia...... but I still love it :D

Also the drivers side washerjet seems to have lost the insert in the middle meaning that instead of a nice fine spray it dumps washer fluid out in a big dose. Is it just a slide/click insert piece or do I have to change the jet? (not a very good description but if needed I'll try and get some pics up)

I wonder if the interior mirror has ever been glued back onto the windscreen with super glue? Differential expansion will crack a screen if super glue is used to refit an interior mirror.

One of my neighbors has a cat that likes to curl up on my VRS bonnet for a heat. So mucky paw prints and scratches. Bought one of those high power water pistol guns. Cats not been round for a while

Washer jet comes as an assembly.

I to have a missing insert, so rather than getting the complete assembly is it practical to visit a scrappy and pop the insert out or is it a case of once in it'll never come out? Thankfully it's not an MOT failure.
