Seat Belt Q

Featured Replies

picked up my vRS yesterday and the n/s/f seat belt is only retracting very slowly, i dont feel its safe to be honest so i want to change it

does the vRS use a different belt does anyone know from the rest of the range, not a different colour or anything like that ?

also, ill admit ive not looked properly at it yet, but from what i recall it comes through a trim panel on the B pillar, how am i going to get it through that ?

Before replacing it try cleaning the eyelet through which it threads, worked on mine and is well reported on here if you search.

as above, could be the case due to a leaky door seal that the belt could be damp and that is why it is retracting slowly.

Hope this helps.

nipped out to check it earlier, it doesnt seem to be retracting at all actually

what do you mean by the 'eyelet' ??

eyelet is the eye where the belt comes out connected to the top of the door ie the part where you can adjust for height and comfort.

clean it with what though some fairy liquid or something like that??

A cotton bud is ideal dipped in fairy liquid solution or something
