Featured Replies

what is the difference between the audience and stream hu

i can find images on the web for the stream - but not the audience

what would the head unit in an 05 elegance be ?

thanks

IIRC the 'Stream' is a standard unit and the 'Audience' is the upgrade. Not much difference to look at.

If you are looking at a secondhand car; then beggars can't be choosers - you'll have to settle for what is there.

Main difference (and single one I know about) is - Audience has CD-changer embedded.

As stated above, Stream HU is single disc player (with MP3 capability on MP3 version) and Audience has built in 6 disc change which can also take 6 x MP3 discs.

Stream on an elegance will include a 6 disc changer (non-MP3) in the boot though.

Doesnt the audience also have a seperate amp under the drivers seat?

No. That's the soundsystem option.

That's also one difference. Audience can control the SoundSystem amplifier, Stream cannot.

Is it the same soundsystem of Passat or EOS?

Similar yes. The woofers and midbasses are with the same product code but the amplifier is different.

I think in Passat the soundsystem has 10 speakers and Octy has 12.
