EBC brake discs any good?

Featured Replies

I was just wondering if EBC brake discs were ok (just the standard solid metal ones)? I have read loads of bad comments about their greenstuff pads (which appear to be the only upgraded pads they sell for my car). Found a pair delivered for £39.72 at EBC Brakes 4u Master Supplier for EBC brakes and Goodridge Brake Lines I'm not looking for uber racing braking performance. Just some decent brake discs for normal road use :)

Discs are fine.

The grooved and grooved/dimpled ones work well apparantly

I have used EDC brakes in the past and found them every good, I was told when buying them, That the problems you hear about occur then they aren't bedded in properly, It take about 500-600 miles before they are bedded in properly. I brought and got the brakes from a EDC dealer and spoke to them personally who back this up at the time, I normal used grooved/dimpled discs with greenstuff pads. Never had any problems, but the brakes do get better as you use them, more mileage on them and once they have warmed up.
