Problem with interior lights/locking on keyfob

Featured Replies

Hi

First post, so here goes.......

Fabia 2002 Estate SDI

Interior lights wont turn off

Red light on passenger door wont turn off

Red light on drivers door turns on/off at will

Key fob will unlock, but not lock car

looking back at old posts could it be either the catch itself, as I fiddled with it and it cured all of the above for at least a minute, or could it be the CU that I have just learnt existed!

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

I would say faulty catch as well, try disconnecting the electrical connection and see if it resolves the red light problems.

I think it's the "will unlock, won't lock" bit that makes me agree here, since you can't lock the doors with the fob unless they're all closed, but you can unlock them.

Thanks for the answers, I did forget to mention the electric windows did move by themselves a couple of times, while I was messing about.

I have looked in the haynes manual and you have to muck about with the electric windows to change the catch, is it as difficult as it seems?

Thanks again

I finally got round to getting this fixed!

It turned out to be the central locking motor, all problems have been cured.

Thought it might help some one else out :)
