Hi boys and girls, just a quick pic request about sump guards ,

I've got access to plenty of metal at work and the idea popped into my head that it would be cool to make my own seeing as skoda seem to charge an arm and a leg for them.

If with pics if anyone happens to have any dimensions etc then that would also be a great help

Going to also make my own. Have a plasma cutter in work so once I get the drawing right will be easy. Wonder is it bent or straight.

I think they are bent..... the petrol one is smaller than the one for the diesel due to engine reflection noise from the road, iirc.

Also I seem to recall there are some special/extra mounting points which make them hang lower than the standard plastic undertray.

Nope afraid not mate, will start looking again after Xmas after I have a look at what type of metals I can get hold of

If any kind soul wants to post some pictures and measurements I would mins having a go at making something too. If I havent got the right kit to make it at work I will source a price from someone to make up a batch. I dont mind doing the leg work getting quotes but I will need as much detail as possible.

Even better if someone can lend me one or I will consider buying one if on the very rare chance there is one for sale.

I've been asking for details on the undertray as mine went AWOL and I thought of making one out of aluminium sheet - nothing special, just a plate to fill the hole rather than a 'guard', with my default being making a template in card then bashing it out in the ally (cut and drill, bash over formers).

If I find anything I'll let you know.
