I am new to the forum and have one of the first skoda octavia's in australia - skoda have started importing about a year ago

The car was in a minor binlge (my own fault) that meant a headlight replacement.

I have been left with 2 problems and would appreciate any information that can be provided:

1. The Xenon control unit was replaced and ever since the unshielding of the lamps when moving to high beam is not working (both sides). The Dealer who supplied the control unit assures me it was the correct one but I suspect it is not - does anyone have any experience with this type of problem.

2. The high beam bulb (H1's) is badly misaligned - high and to the left - the adjustment at the bottom of the headlight unit does not have enough travel to align correctly and only seems to be up and down - not left and right - does anyone know if there is another adjustment in the unit. The problem is not the adjustung plates the whole unit sits in as the xenon lamp is correctly adjusted
