Octavia Columbus in Superb

Featured Replies

I read somewhere - probably here - that there are two different Columbus units - one with 1Z0 p/n and another with 3T0

Is there a problem when using an Octavia (1Z0) unit in a Superb (3T0) and vice-versa?

I would imagine there could be problems with mfsw and possibly maxidot as those are different from O2 to S2

I recently installed a columbus into my mk 2 octy..I didn't have an instruction manual, so ordered the 'superb' one from my local dealer..it appears to be exactly the same..hope this helps

I have the new Superb unit fitted to the Octy and I can confirm that all functions work 100%. It displays info on the maxidot display just fine

There was some debate over the steering wheel controls not working in the octavia when fitted with a superb unit but that could just be a coding problem.

Maybe Strandgaard is trying to help me. I have the 1Z0 unit which was probably made for the O2.

But when its fitted in my Superb II it does not work with steering wheel or MultiDot display.

The rear view stuff is shown on the Columbus screen though. But can you make this unit work with everything in the Superb II ?? Including the use of a VagCom
