VRS Lower Boost pipe (near sump) leak

Featured Replies

Hello,

I've noticed loads of people talking about boost hoses leaking on VRS's because of the pathetic standard joints near the EGR valve and intercooler but not the lower Joint near the Sump after the Elbow's on the exit of the Turbo compressor.

I ask because i've got a Forge Intercooler and pipework with a stainless steel boost hose up top and Allard EGR blank, all with Silicone Hose joints. Meaning the only weak link is this lower hose by the sump which im convinced is leaking boost....

Has anyone changed this? Is so what did you use or did you get custom pipework made up?

Thanks for any help.

Neil

I do not know if that particular one has been changed, all the others are pretty much changed, or there is a pipe available to change it. Would be interested to get a response too though :)

Can ayone help?

Cheers

The quick-release hoses on the furbys are designed so pressure will actually seal them.

its normal to have the bottom one weeping oil as any oil in the intake will collect there when the car is not running.. you could probably get replacement pipes fabricated for a sum of money... but why fix something thats not broken?
