Not So Satisfied

Featured Replies

Having read that Skoda rates highly in the satisfaction surveys, I must say I have been a little disappointed of late with my RS.

These are by no means major things but more niggly annoying things, which can seem bigger than they are and do pXXs you off!

Firstly my car has been juddering quite badly, almost like the ignition timing is out. The best way to describe it is like when cars used to have manual chokes and the car was cold, you used the choke. Well its like that all the time at the moment. Particularly when you change down from 3rd to 2nd and then back up.

Forward Motors (who have been very helpful) could not find any faults on the first analysis. It'll have to go back in.

Next the 2 nearside speakers basically went, buzzing like a goodun. Now I don't cane my stereo at all. As we know the quality of the speakers is at best at total joke. My mates 1.0L Polo has better speakers, what a joke. Those were replaced last week and today the offside rear has gone too!! AAAAAHHHHHH!!

My seat cover has frayed badly to the point where it will need to be replaced as well.

To top it all last week, my first (I hope to god the bloody last) coil pack went. I wasn't too annoyed because I was waiting for it. Not really too clever though.

So in all nothing really major apart from the juddering and coil pack but well enough to really **** me off .

Thank god it's still under warranty, I fear to think what will happen to most of us when our warrantys are finished. Hmmmmm

I think that as I cover a fair few miles I may have these problems accelerated more than most. ::mad:

Still love the way the car looks and am not sorry in any way that I got it, just a little annoyed at times.

Right, rant over :(

With your money Andre you could buy a new one. ;)

Ive just noticed the tell tale signs of my seatcover beginning to fray again , ive already had one replaced at 5000 miles so this one has lasted better (now almost 13000) , I will wait till it gets on my nerves a bit more before i put it in to be replaced under warranty. I will also be asking my dealer to look at my seat , as it has begun to creak when you move about on it , and also my passenger side front door which (sometimes) doesnt open properly just after the car has been unlocked. Apart from that lot , ive had one coilpack let go (cant be put down to Skoda that one as its a VAG-wide problem) , but i still love to be behind the wheel of my car!

This is worrying me now! Is it completely free for parts to be replaced under warranty?

Daytripper

Yes! Well it was with my last seatcover anyway , id assume that everything done under warranty is free!

As great as the RS is - I have noticed that the car is not really a 'quality' car. There are many tell tale signs that show where they've saved money.

The fact I bought mine for
