Fab vRS rear discs & pads

Featured Replies

Hi folks, just got myself a new set or rear disc's and pads, anyone done theirs recently ? is it straight forward enough, anything to watch ?

regards, rob.

You need a calliper piston winder or you will knacker your rear callipers/handbrake.

Always make sure you take the lid off the reservoir before pushing the plungers back into the calipers or you risk popping the seals (and take the handbrake off :D)

You can (If the pistons are not too seized/stiff) get away with a decent pair of long nose pliers, Opened out & push & turn ETc.

Although as stated above, If they are V tight, A rewind tool is a must.

thanks for the info guys, I would say the piston winder is a must !!! 2 hours spent with a pair of long nose pliers scuffing my knuckles before I threw in the towel and went out and bought one.
