red coolant

Featured Replies

Merry Christmas to you all! :)

I was looking under the bonnet of my vrs, and discovered the coolant level was just below the minimum mark...so i topped up with some distilled water...to get it slightly above it.

the manual says the coolant i need is skoda spec, and then a bunch of numbers.

I have a 5litre red coolant bottle made by a company called comma, in my garage. will this not suffice?

i always thought there's only 3 types of coolant and they are blue, green and red(some say looks a bit purple)

the bottle of "red" coolant i have is what i had bought previously for my ford escort, but never used it. the coolant was bought just 6 months ago and is not out of date in terms of shelf life.

thanks

Should in theory be ok if its red I would think.

G12++ is what they run now, its not expesnive and you can get it from any VAG dealer/TPS Centre if you want to be 100% sure.

id go genuine if i was you

G12 VW Spec

There is a GM equivilant because GM manufacture the G12 spec for VAG

G12 plus plus is £8.19

the genuine and is usually cheaper than the rest.
