Best Price for an Octy vRS Estate, and how long for delivery

Featured Replies

Can anybody give me any idea on how low a price I'm going to be able to get a new Octy vRS CR Diesel estate for so I have an idea of how much I'm going to be abel to realistically haggle the dealers down to?

Also what sort of delivery time would there be on a new car? I'm looking for one in Silver, with reversing sensors, and possibly the variable boot floor. Is this spec of car likely to be available within dealer stock, for fairly quick delivery? or is it likely to be a factory order? and if so how long is delivery likely to be? I could do with an idea as It gives me an idea on how quickly I would need to get the money together for, and also if it is worth my trying to sell my current 04 Fabia vRS privatly, or if I should just trade it in? Privatly would no doubt get me the best price, but I cant really manage too long with out a car, so timing is fairly important.

Get quotes from Drive the Deal and Broadspeed. They were quoting £13.7k and £14.2k for a petrol hatchback recently.

I paid less than 16k for a hatch. Delivery time depends on whether what you want is in port in the country or whether it is a factory order.

There are no more factory orders being taken on the vrs ... that's how I understood the situation anyway. Therefore, you're left with what is already in stock and delivery should be 2-4 weeks etc.

Why are they no longer taking factory orders for new cars? is it soon to be replaced?

I was told only a few weeks ago that I could factory order a VRs. Makes sense as it's not being facelifted until mid 2009.

It is still available, with the new interior, but externally unchanged. ?koda Auto - Homepage link to the New Octavia catalogue has the vRS and Scout in these new guises

Not any more. Nobody seems to really know exactly what's going on with it to be honest. Out of two dealers I spoke to, one dealer didn't think it was changing at all till the end of 2009. Another thought that it was receving a couple of interior changes (centre console and stereo) in Jan.

Both were certain that there were no factory orders left. You had your pick from what was in stock or the last few coming through production. As per my next post, the 'revised' model will be available to order from Jan.

This is as per one dealer told me. These 'new' models are officially available to order from 1st Jan, i.e. once the 'no vat' offer has ended.

if you believe the gloom merchants in the media, you'll probably find the dealer will pay YOU to take one off his hands.....:-)

I'm soooooo glad I ordered a new vRS last Nov. It's now worth about £7.50 from what I can tell....
