Driving 1.4 Mpi 8v Fabia

I've read about people preferring 99 RON and other such better fuels for improved performance and economy for better VRS engines.

But what about the old fashioned 1.4 MPi? Will a better fuel do anything for this old lump? Or should I just stick with the 95 stuff?

Just stick with normal RON95 stuff as the engine isnt tuned to take advantage of higher octane stuff.

Just used some Forte fuel treatment in mine to clean the injectors out too. Only need to do that every few years.

The price difference between 95 RON and 98 RON is quite high, so you will never get a money return, even if you get a couple more MPG. Stick with 95 RON for minimum cash outlay.

iirc it has written on the inside of the fuel flap that if you fill it with anything higher than 95 RON it will have no effect on performance and economy.
