Washing Fabia Error

Featured Replies

I thought as I had a spare 30 mins to kill I would give my Black Magic VRS a bit of a clean. What I didnt realise was that its -1 here and as soon as I put water on it, it froze. Nice. Quite funny actually but really stupid.

I take it you used warm water? It actually freezes faster than cold running water from a hose, due to surface evaporation. I washed the Furby today -3c and no problems.

OK my hands were cold, but the car was fine.

I spent 2 hours yesterday washing mine while it was warmish and today its back to how it was before I washed it !

WHITE with salt

Yup the new sticky road salt is a killer, horrid stuff. I also run classics, and have had to moth ball them over winter, as the new salt is a death sentence for older steel.

Why is this then MoggyTech? Whats changed compared to the old salt?

The salt we use, has got a type of molasses in it to help stick to the road.

i gave mine a pre xmas wash and now it looks crap! i dont really want to do it again soon but no doubt i will....

Mines at the garage at the moment and it was originally Black Magic, but it looks like a piece of turd.

Come to think of it, it actually may aswell be so at the moment, never buying a high mileage car again!

They added a sugary substance to make the damned stuff stick to the roads. It has also caused numerous accidents on rural roads, as sheep eat the damned stuff, so wander into the road for a meal. So we don't skid on black ice, but crash into sheep.

Why not throw some mint sauce into the concoction as well?
