Hi guys,

My brother has a 1.4 classic 02 plate fabia. It seems to be idling funny and when revved when the revs drop back down the car appears to almost stall and all the lights dim etc.

Any ideas of a cause?

Hey, your best bet is to clean the air flow meter, located along the air intake pipe.

If that doesn't help, take the whole air intake pipe off and clean the throttle body with carb cleaner.

I had the same problem with my old vectra, and you could see the throttle body was brown and burnt looking inside, the carb cleaner should clean that off.

As for the lights dimming, thats just because the engine is idling too slow and the altinator isn't spinning quick enough.
