Advice / Help Rqd : Anti Roll Bar + Front Wishbone Bushes

Featured Replies

Seasons Greetings :)

Skoda say my 2001 Fabia TDi front wishbone bushes are starting to split and require replacing (£181.91 + VAT) and I require a complete anti roll bar (£133.60 + VAT).

I have read several posts on here so think I understand the problem and cure but want to check I have this right as some of the terminology is confusing me . . .

I need a new Anti Roll Bar (ARB) which will be a modified design, I need 2 new mounting bushes and possibly some new clamps.

Regards the front wishbone bushes are these also known as Track Control Arm (TCA) rear bushes? and is fitting Mk 4 Ibiza Cupra ones the best idea as they will last much longer?

I believe I will also need 4-wheel allignment.

Can anyone confirm if I have got the above correct? would it make sense to change anything else while I am having all this work done? and can anyone give me an idea on the cost of parts / labour at an independent?

Thank you in advance

I charge £160 for supplying and fitting Cupra Console bushes and Powerflex front wishbone bushes.

The Cupra bushes are the way to go, can't see how one would fail. A little extra for the ARB, may have one in stock just need to check on sizes.

Thanks, Ross is 40 miles away so it might be worth the trip to ensure it's done correctly for a fair price.

Was I correct in my terminology? or did I get something wrong?

Hi mate, your price seems fair, pity I'm too far away up in scotland lol.

Do you get the powerflex bushes direct from powerflex themselves? I'm needing mine done and was just wondering if there was anywhere else to get them.

Also am I correct in saying the ARB bushes are 19mm?

Thanks Allan
