Have put the setting to north america, just wondering if there was a way of turning the brightness down say 25-50% so that i dont forget to switch of the lights when it does get dark??

dashboard lights dont come on with north america (DLR) they will only come on when you switch to side or dip.

Personally I cant see the problem with just running with dipped beam, it is kinda automatic for me unless it is very much a bright summer day and I'm off in town only I guess.

daytime i dont really need the rear lights so why waste them when you trying to make sure every **** that pulls out in front of you can actually see you first ;)

When activate DLR you can see after "Binary" is "Dec" . Try to change the "Dec:" value.

Do you have Xenons or normal halogen bulbs on your car? If you have xenons you cannot change the brightness setting. It's only for halogen bulbs.
