Can I change from longlife servicing?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

We currently own a polo gt tdi 130...same engine as fabia vrs. Its a 2005 54 plate car. Has got 31000 on the clock. It has previously been serviced on the long life regime with long life oil. Can I change to the fixed interval 10k miles servicing?

Is it just am atter of draining out the old oil and refilling it with the 10k life PD oil?

Thanks

I should think that'll be OK, you may be able to reset the service display through the dash buttons for a 10000 mile/1 year service interval.

Not a problem, and you will find the oil is a bit cheaper than the longlife stuff. The oil condition sensor in the sump will still warn if an earlier service is needed. The service indicator can be reset with the clock adjustment knob. So you simply use oil to VW505.01 spec.

Didn't think the Polo GT offered a longlife service option, just like the vRS doesn't...

Every day's a school day :)
