:rofl::rofl::rofl:

I'll be replying when I get home. Yes, neither light should be on, but both are for varying reasons!

OMG some people on there are seriously fvcked up

"You were correct about some poor video quality so if you can afford your long list of mods to the car, buy a decent camera "

It is cheap entertainment hehehe :D

They keep wittering on about "experts"

Obviously if its your car then you know about it.

They take kevs car to be gospel. Maybe even get there car mats out and hail to kev haha.

Should sort out a RR session and invite him to come, sort the men from the boys

I'm going over to N.Ireland in a few weeks...

Maybe i should meet him. ;):D

I see my youtube vid ended up being involved in the arguments too.

I had to link the vid, I remember seeing it on SCN and knew a big turbo and a "google" remap couldn't make that power

Based on the logic in the thread, Devon's should be making an easy 400 bhp

So what do we think...

Has the dyno reading been altered ?

Or is the rolling road so far out it's gave this reading ?

I say the dyno's been generous by 100bhp hehe.

Nah, I think the dyno's out.

With my TD stage 2 on and unmapped properly with a milltek system it pulled 180BHP. Mapped up I came out with 220Bhp. Anymore and it was like I hit the smoke screen button.

That guy's just a dreamer - I say just let him believe he's got that...............

True, i know dynos can be out, having been at the wrong end of one.

Few years ago when i had the Impreza we had a rr day, and the rollers were configured properly for rwd & fwd, but not 4wd.

So all F & RWD figures were spot on, and us 4wd owners all walked away with roughly 40bhp down.

Easy mistake to make on the operators side of things.

We all got free runs to compensate, and everyone was at least 40bhp back up from the previous run.

Perhaps something similar's happened here.

We'll just get ready with our "I told you so" quotes when he's been on some proper rollers

And a cushion for the crash landing back to earth. :D

Bless him

Got to be honest, i think the chap honestly thinks thats what his wee furby is putting out, which is actually a great shame for the poor lad.

It runs fine on the standard clutch possibly because its with in the tollerences

To be fair to the guy (Kev-vrs) his replies are polite & reasonable; unlike some of the other posters.

He may be wrong (& I have no idea whether he is or not) but some of the comments here seem a bit unkind. :thumbdwn:

Or maybe I'm just a bit tired & grumpy :)

The thread there has some fair posts, and some that are way way waaaaay off - I was tempted to suggest the SMIC venting pikey mods ;) should give an easy advantage as the SMIC just cannot get rid of the massive amount of thermal energy this turbo would be creating ;)

I have the TD stage 2, a solid turbo and it works well. But the figures are just too far beyond belief unless a revolutionary thing has happened. I would believe it if it was 10-20 over, by variation and overreading/overcompensating on the figures. Beyond that, it will either at the very least smoke like Jason's in the past, or not make the power.

Still, I'd love to see the beasty run on the same RR as Jason's to see what it does, and as was posted there, if it makes the figures quoted, I'd be shocked, amazed, and impressed :)

Just a little follow-up: This a a golf that has a stage 2 hybrid (which IIRC would be identical pretty much) and that makes 245bhp, and sticks out a little smoke. Again notice the VERY short spinup time, however a mild over reading there and this figure kinda makes sense.

I would post this one on the other site too but I can't be bothered.

Well, aren't they a mature bunch? :finger: I went on to see what the latest was, and someone in admin had taken away my ability to post in that thread!!!! So I left a snotty new thread and won't be going back!

Good job Briskoda has a bunch of level headed moderators!

Your posts were informative and not irrelevant so why? Did they not leave a reason

Pah leave those loosers to it

Apparently the thread was closed. In the defense of their moderator/admin team, I dont believe the thread closure was intended for Jason's post in particular, but more because it was a slagging match with a few good posts sprinkled in, as opposed to the reverse which is more likely to happen here ;)

Well, I'm still not going back. :)

Not blaming you ;)
