Just a quick question, my diesel VRS in the recent cold weather seems to be running a bit lumpy when sat in traffic on tick over bout 1,000 revs...:confused:

I don't know if it's me... but even the mrs has been commenting on it. :thumbdwn:

I will admit I'm not a 100% with cars :confused: so thought I'd post the thread and see if anyone can help before I ring the dealer as the car is only 4 months old.

Reading the posts regarding the MPG when cold so I thought this might be linked???

Might seem basic questions but:

1. What fuel are you using, is it Shell, BP, Total etc or from your local tesco? If there's a Shell nearby run a couple of tanks for Optimax Diesel through to clean it out. Good quality fuel will help with the answer to the next question as well.

2. Rough idling could be the car trying to regen the DPF - mine occasionally tries even when I'm driving around town and the car becomes quite jerky. Take it on a long run as per the numerous threads on DPF regen!

If no to both these q's, book it in and hope its cold that day so you can show the Stealer.

Fuel I'm currently using is optimax diesel, especially for the last 3 tankfulls:rofl:.

Sod's law Weather gets better and problems seem to ease:mad:.
