So annoyed

:mad::mad::mad:

Put my back seats flat the other day to cart some stuff around, put the seats back up and i forgot about the rear seat belt on the driverside! i heard the clip go as it locked back into place but it had the seatbelt twisted into it as well!!! so now when i try to pull the seat down again to get the seatbelt back it wont budge!

any ideas? i've tried pulling the sod as much as i can but it wont move! and i've even had the mrs pull the tab up while i pull and still no luck! the seatbelt must have gotten into the locking bit and now im just plain stuck with only 2 seats in the back now

You may be able to get at it from inside the boot, and lever the catch up with a long screwdriver or something?

I did the same thing. I no you said you have tried this but I just got cross and yanked at it a lot and eventaully it gave way. Mines an estate but I guess that will be the same on all of them.

My seat is jammed just now.

Parcel shelf doesnt go on now and the exhaust seems quite loud without it.

Will have a try at sorting it again later on.

same here!! when i finish work i'll just have to do what teenagers have done for many years!

i'll give it a good tug........

....ok i'll go...:P

Had this problem a few months back, as many people have said just get some hulk strength and pull it hard!

I have the same problem,i put the rear seats down to move something,my wife or teenage child put them back up the next day and its now jammed,my own fault as i should have put them back up when i'd finished. Anyway, ive messed about with the seat but it wont budge, but i'm not keen to use brute force incase something brakes, either on the car or me,is brute force the only fix?

Your first post - welcome:)

I have done this, and I'm afraid the only answer is brute force and ignorance. I used a combination of getting hold of a good length of seat belt and pulling on that at the same time as pulling on the seat back, and then getting really mad swearing and grunting alot and then head butting the roof liner when it freed:O

It does work eventuality;)

Get into the boot and while someone is holding up the catch, kick the crap out of it!

Happened to me too. And I broke the pully catch thingy at the top of the seat. Afraid it was in at the main dealer for that replacement... boo. Actually that was a sh*te week, because it was also in to get the driver's side door mirror put back on after I took it off reversing down a 1 way street in Italy, and just after cracking the windscreen having changed the wiper blades.

not a great week... ROFL

The dealer replaced the catch with no damage to seat or belt, and it was only a few quid for the part. They must have been pretty amused at me!
