Dear Friends,i already searched, but i couldn't find, Would you help me about finding oil filter replacing with pictures for Fabia?it will be wonderfull if help for Fabia 1,4 TDI (75ps), Thanks for your always helps,

Hi Mustisahin,

I've no pictures but have had a 1.4TDI for 107K miles and changed them a few times. Engine oil drain as usual from sump. Remove engine cover. All you need for the filter is a replacement filter and a big spanner - there are several special ones which look like straight edged dishes. If you buy one check it is right because there are several sizes which are only millimetres different. I've used a large adjustable without any trouble as there is no need for the cover to be very tight; a rubber ring which you get with the filter makes the seal. Now unscrew the black cover on the filter directly in front of you and remove. Take the old rubber ring off the cover and put on the new one. Pull out the old filter. Now you can just put in the new filter, but there is a lot of old oil in the sides so I mop it out with a rag. Put in the new filter (just pushes in).Put in new sump plug. Pour 4 litres of oil in through the filter housing. This is easier than leaning over to use the filler and fills the filter with new oil. Screw back on the cover and tighten until you can see the lip comes down to just touch the metal filter housing. Engine will need a little more oil when you've started and checked.

Hope this helps. I can get photos, but it will be a week or so as it is dark whenever I see the car these days - Let me know if still stuck and I'll try to get some.

Thanks a lot Dear Viewer,

awaiting your pictures with 4 eyes :-)

Top tip

Remove the oil filter first. If you do it afterwards when you remove the filter the old oil that is trapped in the housing by the bottom peg and seal on the filter then drains down to your already drained sump.
