Can this be disabled with VAGCOM? I know it's a safety thing - I don't intend to be cruising all the menus while driving - there's just one feature I want access to while driving and that's "Display Off".

At this time of year I do 75% of my driving in the dark and much prefer to have maxidot off, but if i switch it on briefly to check fuel/time etc, I then have to stop driving completely just to switch the display off. Very annoying on a motorway run!

Really, I think that menu item should be on the top-level menu that you can get to - seems daft to put it under "Setup"?

'Display off' was available in the first menu in my MY06 Octavia, its now been shifted to the config menu which as you say is not accessible on the move. Thats a bad move IMO :thumbdwn:
