It's been rolling round eBay for a while Stu. Did make some enquiries for bits, but the quotes back were, err, interesting :)

So it keeps coming back on eBay, like a bad smell ;)

Nah, I stumbled on it by accident.

Shouldn't do this but

I've seen another SE being broken and they wanted £1000 just for the seats!!! OMG!

Its been on ebay a while now, I enquired on some parts and as said above the prices were interesting lol

IIRC they quoted in the region of £900-1000 for the seats

The other SE's leather is for sale in a breakers up here, list price of £995, which is a crazy price, nice leather but wouldn't it look a bit strange in a non SE, what with having the production number in the leather.

Probably would be if you could sell them for that price...

It is at the moment.

I work in the car salvage industry, and it's never been busier.

Everyone is looking at used parts at the moment to cut costs.

Downside is, some yards are only offering circa £40 for a car now.

Depollution laws now have to be met, so by the time they drain some of the cars etc..there's no margin left.

Although not all yards stick to this ! :D

Again I shouldn't but ...

Well the crash was allegedly in a 30 zone and allegedly some guy pulled out infront of the owner who was allegedly doing below the speed limit.

From the pictures that were put up here the damage looked tiny, but the owner allegedly claimed to the persons at the scene he had serious neck pain and so rather than risk any claim for alleged injuries allegedly being made worse they allegedly took him straight out on a board by removing the roof.

IIRC the pictures showed that all the doors opened fine and there was no intrusion. Even the windscreen looked like it was only broken by the people cutting it rather than anything else.

Nicely put Mark

£1k for some leather seats is quite a joke. I'd sooner pay seat surgeons to do a similar job but include the door cards too and save £200+...

I bought the rear light clusters off this car :D

Hey I'm just posting my memory of what was "allegedly" said by the OP regarding what "allegedly" occurred.

Now I understand the humour in my comment ;)
